春の雨/ Spring Rain 20210413

屋根をうつぬばたまの夜にふる雨は春あたたかく音のかすみつつ

今日は、しばらく悩んでいたことが一段落した。解決には至ってないが、相談したことで気持ちが落ち着いてきた。もっと早く相談すべきだったとは思っていない。気持ちに区切りをつけて相談を申し入れたからだ。が、それだからといって思い通りになるものでもない。これは、とかく、この世は自分一人の世界ではなく、様々な人のなかでの自分という存在だからであろう。

夕方から雨が降っていた。春の暖かさで、雪がすっかり無くなった屋根を打つ雨の音は夜の闇のなかで響いていたが、時折途絶え、已みがちになる。

Today, something that had been bothering me for a while was settled. Although I haven't reached a solution, I feel calmer now that I have consulted. I don't think I should have asked for help sooner. I'm not saying that I should have consulted earlier because I did so after I had decided to do so. But that doesn't mean that things will turn out the way I hope to. This is probably because this world is not my own world, but I exist among many other people.

It started raining in the evening. The sound of the rain hitting the roofs, which were completely free of snow due to the warmth of spring, echoed in the darkness of the night, but it would occasionally stop and tend to die down.

再来の寒さ/ The Cold Weather Again

今日は寒さが戻ってきた。当地、秋田では風が強く日中降雪もした。最高気温7℃、最低気温1℃。最高気温7℃もあるのだから、大丈夫とは思ったが念のため、外の水道の元栓は夜間の凍結防止にと閉めておいた。一昨日までは暖かかったので、家内で越冬させておいた植物を外に出そうか、家の冬囲いも取ろうかと思っていたが、こんなに寒くなったので、どちらもとどめておいたのは正解だったようだ。

　此処の桜はまだ硬い蕾で当分咲きそうもないが、先日来咲いているという秋田市や海沿いの由利本荘市、にかほ市の桜は、この寒さで退いてしまったのではないだろうか。

　The cold has returned today. Windy and snowy here in Akita. The highest temperature was 7 degrees Celsius, and the lowest was 1 degree Celsius. I thought it would be OK with the high temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, but just in case, I turned off the main water valve outside to prevent freezing at night. It was warm the day before yesterday, so I thought of putting out the plants that I had overwintered in the house and removing the winter fence, but it seemed to be the right decision to keep them since it got so cold.

　The cherry blossoms here are still in hard buds and are unlikely to bloom for a while, but I guess the cherry blossoms in Akita City, Yurihonjo City and Nikaho City along the coast, which have been blooming since the other day, have receded due to this cold weather.

菅の根/ Roots of Sedge 20210405

　昨日、iPhoneからブログを更新しようとしたが、どこかに触ってしまったのか、文章が全部消えていた。結構、書いていたので、残念だった。何を？私の最近の心境である。先月、ちょっとショックな事があり、落ち込んだり、考え込んだりしていたのだが、そんな心境をもったいぶって書いていたのだ。まあ、消えてしまったので、書かないほうが良かったのかもしれないと思っている。

　今日は掃除に専念していた。最近、電動モップなるものを買ったので、拭き掃除が楽になった。新しいものが家のなかに入ってくると、何かと関心がそこに集中するものである。拭き掃除に精が入るのは、結構なことだ。自走式ではないので、自分で持ちながらの拭き掃除だが、私にとっては、拭き掃除の面積が多い家なので、これまでは手の行き届かないところが多くあった。また、冬場は、家の中の掃除よりは除雪に力が入っていた。軽くモップを持っているだけで、動いてくれ、仕事をしてくれる。面白くなって掃除をしているうちに、大分気分が開放的になってきた。こうして私は日常に戻っていくのだろう。

Yesterday, I tried to update my blog from my iPhone, but I must have touched something because all my text was lost. As I had written quite a bit, it was a pity. What? It's my current state of mind. I had a shocking experience last month, and I was depressed and lost in thought. Well, I think it might have been better if I hadn't written about it since it disappeared.

Today I focused on cleaning. I recently bought an electric mop, which makes wiping easier. Whenever something new comes into the house, I tend to focus my attention on it. It's a good thing that I've been working hard on wiping down the house. It's not a self-propelled machine, so I have to hold it while wiping, but for me, the house has many areas to be wiped, and there have been many places I haven't been able to reach. Also, in the winter, I more focused on snow removal than cleaning the house. Just lightly holding a mop, they would move and do their job. As I got interested and cleaned, I began to feel much more liberated. Like this, I think that I'll get back into the swing of things.
