Tanka...Tuesday Bench 火曜ベンチa

rain falling down
throughout night
still
my heart is not moistend
...tears have dried up

magic rain falling,
smoothing the thirsty mother earth
singing our song
ready to give thanks

tears are dried ...
for something bad ....
my heart is so sensitive ...
calling you to come back

Yesterday's tears are
today's rain
today's smiles are
tomorrow's sunshine
How will you spend tomorrow?

wetted stone
wish the rain wash away

Thank you so much, dear Mr. Hannes Froehlich.
I am inspired by yourreply. (Rika)

you are
mirrored in a black granite
purified
by all night rain
... whispering love to me

Looking deep
Into your eyes
Could see
Treasure tears...
Hidden by your smile...

your absence hurts
fear even waiting for you so
wet crashes
the healing has come
... finish the long journey home

Tanka...Cosmos 秋桜a

Bon passed
spirits left for another world...
cosmos flowers
as parting gifts
whispering in white breeze

Bon is one of the most important events for Japanese Buddhists August 13-15 in many areas.
Seeing-off Bon is Aug 16-18.
It is said the dead spirits descend to this world during the Bon/ Obon period.
I took pictures of  cosmos-flowers  Aug. 21 after Obon.

Halo of the saint
flowers have fallen
dusk comes earlier…
enthusiasm is fading
berries will be ripe

Spirits whispering
from the unknown source
should be the last time we meet
a reminder of life

The bunch of flowers are

Tanka...Lingering summer heat 残暑a

because
most things are beyond my will
I don't fix on
... burnt by the blazing sun
the various disappear

the various appearing
