このたびの寒波は長く続き、当地では連日の降雪に気をつけて日々を送っています。諸事情につき寒波の夜にドライブをし、2首詠いました。
The cold wave has lasted for a long time here in Japan and we have been spending snowfalls in our area. For various reasons, I had to drive at night and composed two tanka poems.

如月の寒波の吹雪ふきあげて冥朦の暗わが道阻む

February freezing…
a snow storm of cold winds
rising up
hazy shadows veil ahead,
darkness blocks my way

風和（な）ぐはしばしも先かハイビーム暗路を照らすひとり道ゆく

Before winds calm
for a fleeting while…
high beams pierce
the darkness of the night,
alone, I drive my way
