Haiku...Silver Grasses

<Haiku/ 俳句>

graceful

silver grasses have grown up

wait for winds

Tanka... Flower of Karma 20161008

<Tanka/ 短歌   Flower of Karma/ 業の花>
For Kenji Miyazawa

the dark flower
of  Karma blooming …
is it my cloud
as a seal of the blood
even unsatisfied

   Yesterday,  I visited Kogensha in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan.
        Kogensha was deeply related with Kenji Miyazawa (1896-1933), who was one of the greatest poets and juvenile literature writers in Japan and no Japanese doesn’t know his name except babies unable to read and write.  His world in his works is filled with fantasy.  Some of his works were made into anime movies such as ‘Night on the Galactic Railroad’ introduced around the world.
           He did self-publishing at Kogensha in 1924.   Those days, he was unknown.  Only few people knew his name.   He became known after his death.

    Now, Kogensha shows Kenji’s autograph works and sells the local crafted products with a café providing delicious coffee.
  In the garden, some works of his were written on the white walls.   While reading them, I was impressed so deeply that I thought it was worth visiting.

     I composed Tanka after reading Kenji’s work, “Petals of Karma Flower”.
