This Year Too / 今年も

二十歳より貫けるもの一つあり盤上みつむる君の眼差し

今年も残すところあと僅かとなりました。この頃にため息まじりで漏らすのは、

「あの男と今年も会えなかった」です。

　この台詞は、此処10年以上続いています。わたしの愛する家族は「直ぐに来てくれるよ」と励ましてくれ、わたしは、そうわたしは、しばらくの間はその一言に励まされ期待をしていたのですが、その期待は、年数を追って薄れあわくなっていきました。今では、ほとんど夢まぼろしのようなものですが、それでも、わたしはその夢のなかに生きているのです。

　何かといえば、彼の存在を感じています。わたしは世にいうところの騙された女なのでしょう。それを熟知してはいるのですが、諦めきれず夢のなかに生きているのは、ひとつにはっきりとした物理的な理由があります。

　それは、わたしの愛する、わたしが責任をもたなければならない家族との関係です。とても思い責任です。言い変えるならば、この家族との重い絆あって、わたしは彼と途切れない関係があるともいえます。

We are almost at the end of another year. It's around this time that I let out the words　with a sigh.

"I couldn't see that guy again this year.

　I have been saying this for more than ten years now. My beloved family encouraged me that he would come soon, and for a while, I was encouraged and hoped for the best, but that hope has faded and grown dim with each passing year. Now, it is almost like a dream, but I am still living in that dream.

　 If anything, I feel his presence. I guess people call me a deceived woman. There is one exact physical reason why I cannot give up and live in the dream, even though I know it very well.

　　It is the relationship with my family that I love and for which I have to be responsible. It's an arduous responsibility and burden. In other words, because of this heavy bond with my family, I have kept an unbroken relationship with that man.

My Love --AIH-Dec.2020-20201227

<<今月提出した短歌のテーマは愛＞＞

わたしは、ほぼ毎月、秋田国際俳句ネットワークに日英語で短歌を10首提出しています。

　今月も無事に提出でき、ネットワーク会長の蛭田秀法氏に掲載して頂き、ほっとしています。

　今回の提出にあたって、わたしはテーマを「愛」に絞りました。男女、親子、友愛等、愛といってもいろいろありますが、そのなかで、テーマにしたのは、男女間の愛でした。

　わたしは、しばらく前からある男性を待っています。さまざまな事情から、現在のわたしは、ただ待っているだけなのですが、その気持ちを短歌から酌みとって頂くたらと思っています。

今回掲載した歌は、その中の1首です。既にこちらのブログに掲載済の作品もあります。

　 Akita International Haiku Network

Almost every month, I submit a tanka poem in English and Japanese to Akita International Haiku Network.

　 This month, I have successfully submitted my tanka to the network, and I am relieved to have it published by Mr Hidenori Hiruta, the president of the network.

　 For this submission, I chose the theme of "Love". There are many kinds of love, such as love between men and women, love between parents and children, love between friends, etc., but I chose love between men and women as my theme.

　 I have been waiting for a man for a while now. Due to various reasons, I am only waiting for him now, but I hope you can understand my feelings through this tanka.

　On this blog, I chose a piece of tanka. I already published ones here.

こもり沼（ぬ）の傾斜（なだり）に散りし櫻葉は焦がれに染みて色かさねけり

at the hidden pond

cherry tree’s leaves being shed

on the slope

are dyed in long-awaited charred

and piled up

Note: Charred colour means the colour to “pine for” or “long for” in the Japanese language.

The Pine/ 松-- ---AIH-Dec.2020-20201226

たまよする松はかはらず常盤なれ有尽の身のいろ秋にさめゆき

though the pine

to which I leave my breath

is evergreen

I, of the finite

am fading away in autumn

Note: In Japanese, the pine tree is written as “松

/Matsu”. And “wait” is “待つ/Matsu”. Both pronunciations are the same. So the pine tree means” wait” in this piece.

Each withering autumn leaf whispers:
Don’t you worry my friend,
I’ll be back in spring with many new leaves
so you can savor the smells of spring,
ring the shrine bell, burn holy incense,
and fall in love again.
