八塩いこいの森をたずねて3首 / Three pieces of tanka to Yashio Forest 20240518

こちらの3首は、今月初めに訪ねた秋田県由利本荘市にある八塩いこいの森で詠った短歌です。

桜(はな)びらの水面に散りてかへらざる…光すくふか八塩の湖(うみ)の
:
Cherry’s petals
fall on the water and
never revive
Shall the light of Lake Yashio
save them?

黄桜の面(おもわ)に寄れば薄紅の花芯のふるへ些(さ)もとどまらず

its faint pink core

trembles without ceasing

even a little

水没の樹々綺羅に光(て)る八塩湖に金黒羽白 優遊の泳

Submerged trees
gleaming on Lake Yashio
with light
Golden blacktail swims serene
in eternal space
