廃園の山吹 /Golden blossom in an abondoned garden

 

朝霧のこる廃園に山吹の傲りの黄色一隅を占む

この廃園については、以前にもこのブログに書いたと記憶していますが、幼い頃の思い出がいっぱい詰まっている私にとっては大事な園でした。今は朽ちるがままになり、嘗ての元々の所有者の方の別荘の屋根や壁が剥がれても、修理されずそのままになっています。

そして、その園外の川沿いに面している道は私の散歩コースの一つになっています。

先日、歌中の庭園の一隅に咲いている山吹の花のその鮮やかな黄色がひときわ私の目を惹きました。

庭園に近づくにつれ、私の中には荒廃した庭園への遺恨の思いが未だに薄れることなく湧いてきます。関係した方々やその方々にまつわる様々な話題も私の頭のなかの一隅を占めています。

そして、そのお一人がお亡くなりになったということを新聞で知ったことが、その歌を詠うきっかけになりました。

その方がお亡くなりになる前の初稿は以下のような歌でした。

(C )Mangai Ashokan:To tell the truth, I explained to Mr. Ashokan about "Tatoo" in the haiku and the Japanese feeling to Tatoo from a perspective that could be called a cultural difference after all. As an international creative worker, I have long experienced the differences in sensibilities that emerge from such a cultural difference, and I dared to explain it to him. Thank you for your understanding.実は、このハイクについて、Mangai さんにTatooについて、日本人が抱く感覚について、畢竟、文化の相違ともいえる観点をご説明いたしました。インターナショナルに創作活動をしていると、以前から、こうした文化の相違から出てくる感覚の違いを経験してきましたが、思い切ってご説明した次第でした。ご理解してくださり、ありがとうございます。
