when we awake
with a smile
or a frown
or wiping　
the dried tears from our face
to smile and greet
another fine day
as I awake try to smile

秀麗に遊ぶ一日(ひとひ)に暮色帯び山道の帰路おもひ憩はむ

one day is almost over

after viewing fall colors ...

... a short break
I think of going home 
through the mountain road

※写真は岩手県一関市にある厳美渓で撮りました。
一関までは既に降雪し、間もなく冬期閉鎖される
栗駒山の山道をドライブしてゆきました。

The photo was taken at Genbikei Gorge in Ichinoseki City, Iwate, Japan.

To reach there, I took the mountain road in Mt. Kurikoma, 
which has already  snowed and will be closed soon because of winter season.

紅黄と鳴子峡燃え闇のはざまを埋めるごと橋をわたらむ

滿山秋香如菊殘猶有傲霜枝
不向黑暗惡勢力屈服
點燭讀書，燭火越燒越短
飲酒看劍，酒越喝越酣暢
黑道武士不開口笑是癡人！

each year
as time goes by
each so more beautiful
Wonderment for the ear and eye :)

I was at times unhappy
as the birds who lived in the tree
next to my place would wake me up
before daylight miss them
as the squirrels have chased them away
don't know if should feed the S
as I do miss the birds
