Mikaeri Fall gathers time

※This tanka was published at Akita International Haiku , Senryu and Tanka, 

Tanka by Rika Inami 16. I translated my original Japanese tanka into English.

 Japanese word 回顧 means"recollection", "retroapection"  "to look behind"or  

"to review the past". I took this photo the end of  October at Dakigaeri Valley, 

in Semboku City, Akita, Japan.

Tanka...First Snow/ 初雪 20181126a

初雪にうなだれ咲くも紅薔薇のたましひ溢るる五次元かも

even though

blooming with bowing

due to first snow ...

a spirit of red rose

may overflow in five dimensions

※I composed this piece when I saw the first snow Nov. 23 th. 2018.

We have it late of the night of 22nd..

こちらの1首は11月23日に初雪を見たときに詠いました。

初雪は11月22日の夜遅く降りました。

雲割きて霜月の野に光一条綺羅に差す...雪降る前に

breaking clouds

a beam of light shines bright

through 

a misty grey field

before  the snowfall

Chose to put on finer clothes
to remind us of the beauty

as I awake

different times

as I slowly stand up

as my old bones creak

Thankful for the small ache
makes me aware I am still alive
and aware for another day
Just with wonderment and thankful
for another day
to be able to be aware
of the beauty that surrounds me
