山神の賜(たまもの)とふ莢蒾（ガマズミ）の珠（たま）ちりばむる谷をゆきたり

 

I go on

a valley studded with

red gems...

viburnum cranberries

gifts of the mountain God


日にけにと其処(そ)より乖離し去りゆかむ莢蒾の実は血色に熟れにき

 

day by day

deviating and leaving there

viburnum cranberries

have already ripened in

bloody colour

hugs me tight


late autumn

ripen cranberry

in birds beack 

sparkling

engagement ring


deep woods 

no time for snow

all that red 

cranberries

on the lips 


foggy morning

picking cranberries

our hands

魂のさ紫さゆる桔梗かな逝くひと偲ぶ彼岸近き日  

 

a balloon flower

with the serene purple

of the soul blooming

reminds me of those who passed away

around the autumn equinox



秋桜(コスモス)の光にのりて咲きまがふ我が執着もかくにあらばや

 

cosmos flowers

blooming in the light…

I wish

my obsession could be

as detached as them



そろりゆく山のなだりに一群（ひとむら）の梅鉢草 友に会ふごとし

 

slowly ascending…

on the slope of the mountain

grass of parnassus

I feel as if meeting

an old friend again

風立たぬ朝と思へど穂芒の幽かなる揺れ道ひらきをり


although

I feel the wind doesn't rise

in this morning...

pampas grasses sway a bit

and make the way for me


「はやんしごど」里人の声やさしきか秋冷の朝　道つづきをり


"Good morning," 

the tender voice of a villager

to me

in the cool autumn morning

...my path still continue



忽然と空あらはれぬ水縹（みはなだ）にながるる雲は秋を奏づる

 

unexpectedly

the sky appears to me

the clouds

flowing in cerulean

play the tune of autumn.



若人入るワクチン接種会場は常には見えず老ひの過疎地は

 

it looks unusual 

the corona-vaccination hall

filled with young people 

here in this depopulated town

with many elderly people
