日輪はなべて差しきて針槐の房のかがやき谷をうるほす
sunrays
shining on the earth
equally--
black locust flowers cast
peace over the valley
花の幾ふさ風にゆれ針槐の甘き香みつる水無月は立つ
June starts
with bunches of flowers
swaying in the wind
and the sweet fragrance of
black locust flowers
針槐 君に届くかこの香り我らが痛みもいささかなりと

will this scent ever
reach you?

what too of our pains?
